Food pantry

The food pantry meets emergency food needs for residents of San Jacinto.   Since opening in 2014,  the food pantry has distributed over 1,200,000 pounds of food to families in need.  Each household receives a box with 30-50 pounds of food up to 6 times per year. Each box contains 30 pounds purchased from the High Plains Food Bank and 10-30 pounds of surplus food. While the contents change based on availability, these boxes consistently contain pasta, canned vegetables, soup, rice, beans, nuts and various other items.
